Home My WebLink AboutItem No.36CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO: Mayor and Councilmembers FROM: Ron Molendyk, City Manager DATE: June S, 1993 SUBJECT: NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR CURB# GUTTER# SIDEWALK AND PEDESTRIAN RAMP REPLACEMENT PROGRAM BACKGROUND, The contract for the Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk and Pedestrian Ramp Replacement program was awarded to The Bradick Companies, Inc. on October 27, 1992 by the City Council for $103,625.00. Construction of the improvements began in December of 1992. Portions of the project were delayed by the three months of rainy weather. ANALYSIS Curbs, gutters, sidewalks and pedestrian ramps were replaced in various areas in the City. Most of the improvements were concentrated in the Downtown West area to provide safer pedestrian access to Elsinore. Elementary School and.Elsinore Middle School. Bid _quantities were adjusted to provide funds for installing an irrigation line for tree wells, widening Lakeshore Drive and constructing an asphalt walkway to provide safer and more convenient access for pedestrians and bicyclists. 'This work was done under Change Order No.'s 1 and -.2 at an agreed price._ The project is now complete and has been accepted by the-City. FISCAL IMPACT - Below is a summary of the project costs for the Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk and Pedestrian Ramp Replacement Program: CIP Project Budget $156,000.00 Contract Amount $103,625.00 Sum of Previous Change Orders 0.00 Amount of Change Order No.'s 1 & 2 1,339.31 Final Contract Amount $104,964.31 RECOMMENDATION 1. Accept the project as complete. 2. Authorize the Mayor to sign the Notice of Completion. 3. ' Authorize the City Clerk to record the Notice of Completion "within ten days. 4. Authorize the Administrative Services Director to release the 10% retention to The Bradick Companies, Inc. thirty -five days after the date of recordation of the Notice of Completion.
