SUBJECT: PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PLAY EQUIPMENT FOR
SUMMERHILL PARK
Recommendatio ,
Approve the purchase and installation of pla e from GameTime/Great
Western for Surnmerhill Park and authorize the Cit Mana to execute a purchase
order and contract with GameTime/Great Western.
The children's pla e (Tot-lot) at Surnmerhill Park was destro b a fire in
2004. The Cit Council approved fundin in FY'l 1-1 Capital Improvement Pro
bud for the replacement of this pla and e

Cit Staff conducted an anal to desi bid, and install a new pla and
e at Surnmerhill Park. To save time and mone it was determined to use a
" cookie cutter approach b cop the desi currentl in use at Rosetta Can
Park. The pla and e at Rosetta Can Park was desi and
manufactured b the GameTime Compan
Cit Staff obtained a q uote from Great Western, a re sales representative for
the pla manufacturer GameTime, to replicate the pla at Rosetta
Can Park for installation at Surnmerhill Park. The detailed q uote and plan view
drawin are attached to this Staff Report. GameTime's total time to complete the
project is three (3) months after receipt of order from the Cit
GameTime's q uote includes the purchase and installation of climbin apparatuses for

The cookie cutter approach for Surnmerhill Park supports the Park Division's desire
to have pla e throu the Park S be standardized in order to
streamline maintenance. Since 2007, the Cit has purchased the GameTime brand
pla e for LakePoint Park, Tuscan Hills Park, Cit Park, McVicker Can
Park and Rosetta Can Park.
The GameTime Compan was selected b the U.S. Communities Government
Purchasin Alliance as a responsible low cost supplier. U.S. Communities
Government Purchasin Alliance is a g overnment purchasin cooperative that
reduces the cost of g oods and services b a the purchasin power of
public a nationwide. The Cit of Lake Elsinore is a member of the U.S.
Communities. U.S. Communities Government Purchasin Alliance emplo the
followin competitive process in selectin suppliers:

Cit Staff believes it is in the best interest of the Cit to utilize the cookie cutter
approach and contract with GameTime/Great Western for the purchase and
