A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING
CONSOLIDATION WITH THE STATEWIDE PRESIDENTIAL
GENERAL ELECTION, AND REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE TO
APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE COUNTY REGISTRAR
OF VOTERS TO RENDER SPECIFIC SERVICES TO THE
CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 6, 2012
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City of Lake Elsinore,
California, on Tuesday, November 6, 2012; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Election Code Section 10400, the City hereby
requests consolidation of its General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November
6, 2012, with the Statewide Presidential General Election to be held on the same date and
in the same territory; and
WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it is necessary for the City to
request services of the County; and
WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing these services shall be paid by
the City of Lake Elsinore.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE ELSINORE,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That pursuant to the provision of Section 10002 of the Elections Code
of the State of California the City Council requests the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Riverside to permit the County Registrar of Voters to take any and all steps necessary
for the holding of the General Municipal Election.
Section 2. That the City's November 6, 2012, General Municipal Election be
consolidated with the Presidential General Election to be held on the same date and in the
same territory.
Section 3. That the City shall reimburse the County for services performed when
the work is completed and upon presentation to the City Clerk of a properly approved bill.

Section 4. That the City Clerk is directed to forward to the Board of Supervisors
and to the County Registrar of Voters each a certified copy of this Resolution.

Section 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this
Resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of Lake Elsinore, California, on this 12 day of June 2012.
