SUBJECT: RENAMING OF CITY CAMPGROUND FACILITY

City Staff is preparing specifications for two entryway monuments at the City's
campground facility located at 32040 Riverside Drive. At the April 10th City
Council meeting, the Council approved the renaming of this facility and directed
Staff to form a committee to develop a list of potential names and make
recommendations to the City Council at the April 20' meeting. The order for the
new entryway monuments will be placed following the renaming of the
campground facility.

The entryway monuments will be branded with the name of the "City of Lake
Elsinore" and the City's logo per the City Identity Standards Guide. The
monuments will be substantially similar to the monument at the Seaport Boat
Launch, but modified to reflect the name of the facility and address.
The members of the Renaming Committee are:
• Kim Cousins, President, Chamber of Commerce
• Ruth Atkins, President, Lake Elsinore Historical Society
• City Staff
The Committee selected three primary names, with two derivations for "Boat

Launch versus "Marina'. The Committee recommends the following ranking of
potential new names for the facility.
1. Laguna Grande Resort & Boat Launch
2. Laguna Grande Resort & Marina
3. La Laguna Resort & Boat Launch
4. La Laguna Resort & Marina
5. Pelican Cove Resort & Boat Launch

The City would incur minor costs to alter existing signs around the Lake. Next
year, City brochures would be changed to reflect the renaming, but this would not
be an added expense. The expenditure for the monuments has already been
budgeted.
Recommendafions
Approve the selection of a new name for the City's campground facility.
