She stated she was planning on attending the meeting herself, but due to the weather, an emergency situation has come up with her family and she will not be able to attend. She asked if I could have the attached letter taken to the Planning Commission meeting tonight, and if someone could read it into the record. Her signature and contact information is on the letter in the event anyone would like to verify this information with her. Re Debora Thomsen, City Clerk C. Director Weiner PC File To Whom It May Concern: 01/19/10 My name is Danielle Rice, I have been a long time resident of Lake Elsinore, I'm fourth generation Lake Elsinorian, and have been an active person in the community, I work in this city and have been for the last 12 years. I am writing this on behalf of my 11 year old son Addissun Rice and mine. The concerns that I have and the reasons that I am writing this letter are as follows On 12/05/09 my family and I visited the TREVI Entertainment Center to attend my daughter's Wildomar Pop Warner banquet. While my daughter was participating in the event, my son Addissun (who is mild autistic), wanted to go to the arcade and play games. I gave him a dollar to do so. Addissun was gone for about 20 minutes, when he returned all exited saying that he had won an IPOD touch from the STACKER arcade machine, he also stated that the machine would not give him the prize and that he tried to talk to the concession guy and that this person would just ignore him, Addissun then contacted the manager and he informed my son that they did not have the keys to access the machine to give him the IPOD touch, the manager also told my son that the concession guy will open the machine and give him his prize. After watching the concession guy drill the lock for about 20 minutes with no luck; my family and I left because I had to go to work, Angela an employee of the TREVI and also my daughter's cheerleading coach, assured me that she would get the ]POD touch and let me know when I could get it. 2 days went by and no answer from anyone, so on 12/07/09 I called the TREVI to talk to management about the situation, Mike was the name of the person I talked to, he was polite and told me that he knew of the situation, and that the game console still could not be opened and that I should call back the next day, I called back on 12/08/09 and he said to call back on 12/11/09 and that he would have an answer by then. On 12/14/09 Mike told me that someone was going to buy the IPOD touch, and have it by 12/16/09, which is Addissun's birthday, Mike said that he was going to call me for me to pick it up. Needless to say I got no call on Wednesday 12/16/09, so I gave him until 12/17/09, 1 called him and it seemed that he was avoiding my calls, because my mother Patti Robinson, called him and got right through. Finally on Sunday 12/20/09, fifteen days later, I received Addissun's prize, it was an IPOD nano, not the IPOD touch that it was displayed on the arcade console, now the display is an IPOD nano, it has been switch and Mike claims that it was always a nano not a touch displayed, even though all the conversations we had were about an IPOD touch. I have filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, and I have been very vociferous about my horrible experience with this company, many of my friends have also had bad experiences with TREVI, but I would let them speak for themselves. I feel that Lake Elsinore does not need companies that would swindle their clients and perhaps turn business away from our city, please take into account my experience while you make your decision. Respectfully yours, Danielle SB Rice 951 -541 -5119
