RE: CITY MANAGER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
Background
Robert Brady was appointed Interim City Manager on January 16, 2005. Following a
recruitment and selection process, Mr. Brady was appointed permanent City Manager
effective July 1, 2005. The existing term of the Employment Agreement, as amended,
expires on August 31, 2015. Copies of the Employment Agreement, as amended, have
been distributed to the City Council and are available as a public record in the City
Clerk's office.
Discussion
The Employment Agreement provides that the City Council shall annually review Mr.
Brady's performance in the month of February. Such performance evaluation was
conducted in closed session at the regular City Council meeting on February 28, 2012,
at a Special Meeting on March 7, 2012 and continued to the regular City Council
meeting on March 13, 2012. Following the performance review, the City Council may
take no action or may confirm a closed session action in accordance with the
Employment Agreement.
Fiscal Impact
Unknown. The fiscal impact, if any, can be evaluated at such time as action(s) by the
City Council, if any, are proposed.
Recommendation
It is recommended that following the completion of the City Manager's performance
review, the City Council take no action or confirm a closed session action in accordance
with the Employment Agreement.
