I think it would be nice if the City recognized their volunteer effort. It may also help the local club enroll members. Professionally speaking, I think it's wise to align Lake Elsinore with such avid bass fishermen and to enlist their help to improve the Lake's fishery. If you approve it, then I'll write something up. After graduating from UCLA in 2012, she plans to go on to graduate school. She was one of the valedictorians in her graduating class. • Claire Van Zanten, Elsinore High School • GOALS: She plans to attend University of California, Santa Barbara, to obtain her Bachelors in Science degree. She hopes to attend med school and train in pediatrics. Upon obtaining her PhD, she hopes to work as a pediatrician eventually beginning her own practice. She was also one of the valedictorians in her graduating class. • Andrea Escobar, Temescal High School • GOALS: She plans to attend John Hopkins University and would like to become a doctor "without borders" traveling to different countries. She is one of the valedictorians in her graduating class. • Trenton Paddock, Temescal High School • GOALS: He plans to attend Kettering University, Flint, Michigan, to study bio- medical engineering /pre- medicine, with a minor in bio- chemistry. Trenton hopes to work as a bio- medical engineer and eventually become a medical doctor, possibly a radiologist or cardiologist. Trenton is also one of the valedictorians in his graduating class. Korn_Sc hol_Talkpoi nts05.08 CITY OF LAKE LSINO E DREAM EXTREME, PRESENTATION TO LAKE ELSINORE BASS CLUB (Dave Pauley, President, accepting on behalf of Lake Elsinore Bass Club.) On Saturday, May 31S the Lake Elsinore Bass Club, in conjunction with the Warrior Foundation, held a Bass Fishing Tournament at Vail Lake to honor military service members serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Over 75 military service members and 50 volunteer bass fishermen participated in this tournament. This event teamed an experienced bass fisherman with two service members in order to provide a guided fishing experience. The participants caught more than 240 largemouth bass, weighing over 500 pounds. The Bass Club and Volunteer Bass Pros provided all the necessary fishing equipment for the event. In addition, the Bass Club put on a BBQ for 250 participants, sponsors and organizers. Awards were given at the end of the fishing tournament. The winning boat had a combined weight of 19.9 pounds for the 5 biggest fish. The largest bass was 6.6 pounds. These military members served their Country and deserve a show of appreciation from their fellow countrymen.
