The revision reflected the reduction of project scope as approved in Change Order No. 1. Change Order No. 2 cost $7,000 and was paid from the construction contingency. Change Order No. 3 involves revising the original design that had a large lawn area, one tennis court and one basket ball court. The revision to the park incorporated the relocation of the tennis courts which added one additional court, 2 full basket ball courts with the reduction of the two half courts, and the addition of a fully equipped baseball field. In addition to this modification the tot lot and restroom facilities were relocated to CC July 14, 2009 Item No. 5 Page 1 of 3 Rosetta Canyon Fire Station July 14, 2009 Page 2 a more central area to enhance the park setting and provide more security. In order to enhance the area surrounding the field, additional trees and landscaping were included in this change order to create a better setting. A cost estimate was submitted for review to the project consultant STK Architecture and the City which concurred with the estimate submitted by the contractor. The amount of this change order is $149,391.68. Fiscal Impact The reduced total project cost, which includes; construction, contingency, project management, design and inspection is estimated at $7,441,000, which is in the current fiscal year adopted budget. An amount of $300,000 was budgeted for project contingency and the combined cost of all three of the change orders totals $156,391.68. Adequate funds are available for the additional work required by the third change order. Recommendations 1. Approve project Change Order No. 3 in the amount of $149,391.68 for Perera Construction. 2.
