The first vigil will be in Temecula on Monday, April 27th. Two more will follow: in Palm Desert on Tuesday, April 28th and in Riverside on Wednesday, April 29th. Last year's vigils welcomed over 1,000 people to remember those victims lost. For time and location, please view the Schedule of Events. The largest event is the Victims' Rights March in Riverside on Thursday, April 30th, starting at 11:30 a.m. The March begins at the County Administration Building and heads to the steps of the downtown Riverside Historic Court House` at 4050 Main Street (approximately two blocks). Once at the courthouse a ceremony will be held proclaiming victim's rights and honoring victims and their loved ones. Nearly 4,000 people marched last year and the District Attorney's Office anticipates this year's march to exceed last year's success. Past speakers included Attorney General Gerry Brown, County Supervisor Jeff Stone, Nina Salarno of Crime Victims United, Kim Goldman, Chris Clairborne, and others. For more information on the Victims' Rights March and other events during National Crime Victims' Rights Week, please view the March Flyer and Schedule of Events. The week's events close with the 3rd Annual "Guardians of Justice" Luncheon, recognizing service providers, law enforcement professionals, crime victims, survivors, and good Samaritans in our community for their unwavering dedication in strengthening justice. As you know, justice for victims cannot be achieved by any one individual or agency alone. Justice is achieved through dedication and collaboration from many at the local, state, and national levels. Please join us to march for public safety and justice for victims. Help us demonstrate that crime victims deserve to be heard and will not be forgotten. °A Victim's Voice Will Be Heard" :: Return to Top Site Map I County of Riverside I Legal Notices © Riverside Canty District Attorney, 2006 http:// www .rivcoda.orgNS /rightsweek.html 4/21/2009 New vis%ow ahUdrew's serVtzes 40335 Winchester Rd. #E -522 Temecula, CA 92591 www.nvlearning.com Lake Elsinore Autism Support Group Date: Friday, April 24th Time: 6 -8 p.m., bring a dish to share.
