SUBJECT: AGENCY ANNUAL REPORT
Background
The Community Redevelopment Law requires the Agency to present an Annual Report
to the City Council. The Annual Report for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2011 will
contain specific information on Agency activities for the 2010 -2011 fiscal year, including
the 1) Annual Report of Financial Transactions, 2) Housing Activities Report, 3)
Property Report, 4) Blight Progress Report, and 5) Redevelopment Plan Time Limit
Report.
Discussion
The Director of Administrative Services is working closely with the Agency's auditors,
White Nelson Diehl Evans & Company LLP, to complete the Agency's financial
statements and audit for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2011. Agency staff is also
completing the annual housing activities reporting forms required by the State
Department of Housing and Community Development. These reports are an integral
part of the Agency's Annual Report. Staff anticipates that the Annual Report will be
completed and distributed to the City Council by December 31, 2011. As has been the
practice in prior years, the Agency's Annual Report will be presented at the City
Council's first meeting in January.
Fiscal Impact
None.
Recommendation
That the Agency Board direct the Executive Director to 1) complete the Agency's
Annual Report, 2) deliver the Report to the City Council, and 3) file the Report with the
State Controller and the Department of Housing and Community Development in
accordance with applicable Redevelopment Law requirements.
