Feinstein that it again be recommended to the City Council that grades and cross sections be made of Spring Street and presented to the Santa Fee Rail way Co. Whereupon it was moved by Comm. Lansing second by Cemm. DRY OF March Z9 5~ A regular meeting of the Elsinore Planning Commission was held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:3o P.M, with Robert Claxton Chairman presiding. Commissioners, Lansng,Coxon,Feinstein -and Chairman Claxton answer roll call. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the March,9th, meeting and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read. Chairman Claxton reported that a member o£ the Park Board had contacted him in regards to the Park District getting title to the City Owned Beach property they would garentee to improve said lots as a recreation center. `~'TtdYrereupon it was moved by Comm. Coxon second by Comm. Feinstein that the Planning Commission recomend to the Council that they take under consideration the deeding said beach property to the Park district providing that the. Park District make the proper improements in a given time,which motion upon vote was carried. +- A report to be made to the City Council that Robert Claxton Chairman of the Planning Commission had been appointed as a member of the advisory board to the Execut~ ive Committee of the Southern California Planning Commission, and that Mr Claxton had accepted said appointment as being on this board he could gain knowledge that would be of benifit to the City of Elsinore in an overall planning project, ~ Master Zoning project brought up and it was suggected that the City Council be again to plan to go ahead and go through proceeding for the adoption of said new z Ordinance. ~' The matter of more Street lights brought up but as the City Council tharough Counci]man Yarborough Street Commissioner were working on a project for more Street lights no action was taken. SLRVICC C F ST.N ORFO MIN YTE RECORD At the regular meeting of the Elsinore Planning Couunission held on the 9th. day of February,1950 Recommendations to the City Council of the City of Elsinore were made as Follows, ' 1- That all curbs being newly installed or replaced be installed to grade as set aside by Gity Ordinance's 2 That a low place in Center Street near Highway 395 be filled so as to eliminate the water hole there in rainy weather and that Acacia Street be Blacktops i.n the near future. 3 That Mr Bulot be contacted right away and get the Official grades of all City Streets as per agreement intered into between the City of Elsinore and Bulot and Crane Engineers on the 27th. day of Becember,l9h€3.so as inediate action can be taken on Spring Street to eliminate hazzards on said Spring Streeto 4 That the City Council purchase seedling trees, both Evergreen Elm and Carob they being the type trees for Street planting recomended by the Commission Some time ago,in flats of one hundred each. Said seedlings to be planted into can bg the Park dept, and inthat way starting a program to have trees ready at all times to replace street trees, That the City when removing trees in parkways replace such trees rightaway and care for said young tree for at least one year, Clerk of the Comm. DRY OF Febrllary Z9 5~: A regular meeting of the Elsinore Planning Commission was held on the above date.The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P,M,with Robert Claxton chairman presiding. Commissioners; Coxon Lansing,Feinstein,Crane and Chairman Qlaxton answer roll call. Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the January, 19, 1950 meeting and there being no errors or omissions were approved as read, Thereupon the clerk read a letter from the Division of highways in regards to State map act and subdivisions effecting cities.Letter ordered filed. Whereupon it was moved by Comm, Feinstein second by Comm.Coxon that the Commission recomend to the City Council that when new curbs were installed that .they be put in according to grade set up by City Ordinance,which motion upon vote was carried, Whereupon it was moved by Comm.Coxon second by Comm. Lansing that the Commission recomend to the City Council that Center Street near the Highway be built up so as to eliminate a water hole also that Acacia be surfaced as soon as funds are available,. which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Comm. Lansing second by Comm, Coxon that the Commission recomend to the City Council that a letter be written to Engineers Bulot and ask that maps,specifieations and plans be delivered to the City as per agreement dated Dec.27, 1948.Much Street work being delayed on account of the City not having these maps which set the grades,which motion upon vote oras carried. Feinstein that the Comm- is ion recomend to the City Council that as a good many street trees are being removed and not being replaced the CIty Park Dept.. purchase seedling trees in flats and start a program of having trees large enough ready for planting at all times,City to plant same and care for them for at least one year.. Caning that the amonht of $ 15.00 be drawn for traveling expense for the mext meeting of the Planning congress .that the local commission would attend, which motion upon vote was carried, Whereupon it was moved by Gomm. Lansing that the amount of $ 25.00 be drawn to pay the 1950 dues to the Southern Calif Planning Commission, which motion upon vote was carried, Comm.Lansing reported that he had been unable to contact Ed.Hannum of the State Forestery in regards to free trees for street planting,but would try and have a report at the Feb.9th meeting, Whereupon it was moved by Comm.
