Noea: None Absent None Thereupon Resolution rr367 was introd:ced and read being a Resolution of the City Council of the City of Elsinore fixing the salaries of certain appointive officers of the City of Elsinor e. thereupon it was moved, by Co:zncilman R4ills and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that Resolution X367 be passed and adopted as read, which motion was carried by the following vote Ayes: Councilmen Lovejoy, Macy, Perret, Mills and Matich. Noes None. Absent None. Thereupon Ordinance y~247 was presented to Council on first reading, being an Ordinance of the. City of Elsinore, creating a City Defense Council pursuant to Chapter 561, Statutes of 1941, and prescribing its duties and responsibilities. whereupon it was moved by Councilman Perret and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that Ordinance pp247 be passed to its seco*_id reading which motion was carried by the following vote Ayes: Councilmen Lovejoy Perret, Mills and Matich. Noes None. Absent Councilman Macy. Bills in the amount of $295.97 as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same. Whereupon the chair ordered that the reading of the minutes of the last meeting be dispensed with. j nhereupon Ordinance ;247 was presented to Council on secon d reading, being an Ordinance of the City of Elsinore creating a City :Defense Council pursuant to Chapter {}561, Statutes of 1941, and prescribing its duties and responsibilities. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Ferret and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that Ordinance ;j247 be passed and adopted as read which motion raas carried by the following vote: ! Whereupon the chair reported to Council that the local unit of the State Guard has received a large quanity of equipment for which they'<. have-no eosxvenient housing-and therefore have request- ed of the City that a room added on the rear of the City Hall Bldg. be provided for their use. Upon Council's by Councilman Mills Councilman Lovejoy, necessary arrangeme to the rear of City Guard, which motion due consideration of the matter, it was moved and seconded by Councilman Ferret that City Hall Commissioner be authorized to make nts for the building of a room to be annexed Hall. building for-use of the local .State upon vote was unanimously carried. Thereupon a commuTtication from Attorney Robert Fisher addressed to Councilman Ferret was presented to Council, in which he ad- vised that the Los Angeles Manuscripters Ciub pro posed to hold a picnic at the Elsinore City Park on February 21st, providing that certain necessary arrangements would be provided by the Citizens of Elsinore. ti~lhereupon it was agreed by Council that said communication be referred to the local Chamber of Commerce for their con- sideration.
